You Should Lease Your iPhone X Right Now

For those that drool over the latest and greatest iPhone every year, Sprint has a deal good enough to make you really want to pull the trigger on that upgrade. Normally, when the term “lease” a new smartphone comes around, we run for the exits and don’t look back. The latest offering from Sprint on the iPhone X has us rethinking our position a bit on this idea though. For just $20 a month you can take home the latest and greatest iPhone and the family to that new unlimited plan for under $250 a month, all with new iPhone X ‘s in your pockets.

For those spec junkies in the house that haven’t read up on the iPhone X  just yet, the newest generation iPhone features some mind-blowing performance with the ease of use of iOS. The 5.8″ screen delivers a whopping 81.49% screen to body ratio. This is 16% larger than the iPhone 8 and 14% larger than the iPhone 8+. What this translates to in real world usage is less bulk on the device while not sacrificing screen area.  The glass front and back of the iPhone X is supported by a stainless steel framework.

The device ships with iOS 11.1.1 but is immediately upgradeable to 11.2.5. The Apple A11 chipset powers the 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage though the day while sipping the juice that is provided by the 2716 mAh battery. Speaking of juice, the iPhone X  is also equipped with Qi Wireless Charging for the first time as well.

Speaking of the back of the device, the iPhone X  also features a dual 12MP camera setup with an f/1.8 and f/2.4 lens setup. The f/1.8 features a 28mm wide angle lens while the f/2.4 features a 52mm lens for a bit of a “zoom” feature. The video portion of the camera records stunning 4K video and can simultaneously capture 8MP photos as well. The front facing 7MP camera will also shoot 1080p video at 30 fps and 720p video at 240 fps. Both cameras feature HDR capture.

The features of the iPhone X  don’t stop with the camera. The X also features stereo speakers, NFC, 3D Touch display, Apple Pay and even an IP67 water and dust resistance rating. It truly is just about everything that the iPhone faithful have been asking for over the past few generations and it can be yours for just $20 a month on the Sprint Lease program.

Now, you may ask, what makes this lease worth taking advantage of when we have preached for so long against them? Well, it’s simple, at $1000 for the iPhone X  – the device is a skip in our budget minded philosophy. At $360 for the 18 month lease, you’re going to break even, if not come out ahead on this deal when those 18 months are up. Even better, after that 18 months, the iPhone X3 should be out (or at least the 12 or something to replace it) and you can upgrade on the spot. Otherwise, you get 18 months of iPhone X  service for a ridiculously low $250 a month for 5 lines of service… Yes, you read that correct – 5 lines of unlimited talk, text and data on the Sprint network for $250 a month with the new iPhone X  – the deal is that good.

In comparison, the 4 line price on T-Mobile is $140 a month, then add $120 a month in phone payments to that bill and then the $279 per device you have to pay out of pocket to take them home. You’re staring at a total bill of $1300 out the door with taxes and fees, plus $260 a month for service and devices. Keep in mind, that’s just FOUR of them. Sprint’s iPhone X  deal is definitely ahead of the curve on and should be at the top of the list of your online shopping list this week.

The iPhone X  deal from Sprint does end soon, so make sure if you are on the fence about it, you don’t think too long. Sprint does feature a 14 day trial where you can return the devices if you aren’t happy with them, but get as much testing done as you can in the first few days to make sure the service is right for you.
