Sprint has happily released the coveted Android 2.1 updates for both the Moment and the Hero. The updates bring some major performance changes and some quite minor ones. Overall, both updates seem to have been given good reviews from most users – though some on the Moment’s side are still complaining about horrible battery life and the dreaded lockup. Some on the Hero’s side are saying that the device is a touch slower and has a bit more lag in the graphics department now.
Overall, the updates are a must have item for either device as they add native CDMA network support – something that was ‘worked around’ in their original 1.5 releases.
Also, the addition of 2.1 on these devices opens up a very larger percentage of newer Droid software.
